Creative Discipline

BD05 Creativity & Innovation
Derived LayerMML-4

Version v1.2.4

Definition

The ability to produce creative work consistently and carry it to completion, not only when inspired.

Poles

Each HES element is a spectrum, not a category: the Low and High poles describe how it presents at its two extremes, while the Reference marks the typical, everyday middle. The poles map variation across the range — neither end is inherently better or worse.

Low Pole

Many ideas, little completion; irregular output; frequent abandonment.

High Pole

Stable creative output; works through low inspiration; finishes and ships.

Reference

Creates in bursts; completion depends heavily on external deadlines.

Measure

Primary: Consistency.
Secondary: Completion rate.

Measuring Methods

Output tracking over time (drafts/releases) + completion proportion per period.

Empirical Anchor

Creative discipline / creative process management; deliberate creative practice; productive creativity (Amabile, 1996).

Notes

A bridge between creativity and execution: creative domain with execution mechanics.
